As a therapist I work with a wide variety of people and issues. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. I also work with, and have extensive experience with, couples who have relationship or marital difficulties. I approach each person as an individual and each situation as unique. I work with the uniqueness of the client to help in achieving their goals. I focus on how to get unstuck, and how to get new perspectives, so that life can be lived more fully. I utilize approaches from my Marriage and Family Therapy tradition - John Gottman, Virginia Satir, Jay Haley, Milton Erickson. I have influences of cognitive behavioral therapy, Jungian archetypes, Carolyn Myss and others.

I treat many conditions with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I work with pain issues, gynecological issues, digestive problems, low energy, GERD, etc. I also work with Chinese Medicine for psychological and emotional issues, such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, and more. My training and experience as a therapist allows me to utilize some counseling in a session if emotions are the reason for your visit. Many people find this combination to be very effective in addressing their concerns. I utilize the Primary Channels of Chinese Medicine as well as the extra channels emphasized by one of my teachers Jeffrey Yuen. I also use Chinese herbal medicine, moxa, gua sha, cupping, and tui na as adjunct modalities to my treatment sessions.
